I thought you might like to know how matters have progressed with my broadband provider.
You may recall I had an irritating intermittent problem with my connection to the intranet. The provider had tried a variety of solutions none of which, proved effective. You undertook a thorough check of the internal wiring of my telephone system, introduced some minor improvements, following which; you were able to confirm it was in perfect working order. As you know, unlike your very reasonable service charges, BT’s are expensive, they are only responsible for the line to the front door and should they determine the problem lies beyond their area of responsibility a substantial fee will be charged to provide such information -
Following your inspection, fingers crossed, I was confident the fault was with BT and as such they would bear the corrective cost of the problem -
I can tell you now, just as you advised the fault was between the exchange and my home, it has been remedied free of charge and I am delighted to say my broadband service is now working perfectly.
I am writing primarily to thank you for the prompt and efficient way you dealt with the problem and although I have a system working perfectly at present, should I require the services of a telephone/intranet engineer in future you will be first on my list to contact.
